Default ACE EXTRA 230 for IMAC

Hi Guys just purchased a ace extra 230 30% scale from sheldons hobbies for $221 . i would like to try it in imac

my box stock 230 came out at 17 pounds with a moki 1.8 in it was a good flyer but way to heavy and under powered this one should come out at 15 pounds or under with a DA 50 in the nose

the kit will have alot of mods in it built up wing all the aircraft/birch ply wil be replaced with lite ply or balsa and carbon fiber

my midwest 300s came out at 12lb. 14 oz. with a moki 1.8 in it .
any advice on light weight hardware and a good servo choice for this project would be helpful

is there anywhere in southern california i can see someone fly the imac pattern?

thanks Jim

Jim,

I flew the 33% Extra 230 in Unlimited IMAC for a long time. Very good airplane for its day and I'm sure it'll still be a very capable performer.
