? re fuel solenoid
Does anyone know what is under the shrinkwrap on the fuel solenoid? Will I hurt it by having the zip ties where shown on the attached photo?

There are two mounting holes in the brass part of the fuel solenoid. Try to use those for mounting and leave the coil free to move.
