Futaba and SE Telemetry
 

Hello I have 2 x 100 Rabbit 100SE Turbines in a F-18 and Futaba.
Unfortunately I have no information until today if the telemetry for Futabe works and is available. Last year it nearly cost me the model because a turbine shut down and I did not notice it right away.


Hallo ich habe 2 x 100 Rabbit 100SE Turbinen in einer F-18 und Futaba.
Bis heute habe ich leider noch keine Info ob die Telemetrie für Futabe funktioniert und lieferbar ist. Letztes Jahr hätte es mich beinahe das Modell gekostet da eine Turbine abgestellt hat und ich es nicht gleich bemerkte.

Sorry for the very late respond
We dont have Futaba telemetry for SE series for a simple reason, Futava refuses to cooperate with us and share the comunication protocols, they even write us a nasty letter sayin that, if we thear to reverse engineering it, they will advise clients that not to use it, or use it as their own risc
So we are sorry for the Futaba users but we will no have it

Can you not make your edition compatible with Xicoy?

All others, including Xicoy, are reverse engineered (pirate), and we dont want to go that way.
We can not make an adapter from Xicoy to ours because the diferences in protocols and sensor are too great

But telemetry is now a big plus in safety when operating model turbines. !
And Futaba one of the safest systems on the market.

......your solution lies with the radio manufacturer NOT with the turbine manufacturer. If the radio manufacturer does not provide the relevant protocols for their system - then the turbine manufacturer who provides telemetry on that radio system is the party of blame when something does not work, or even worse, should it fail. I have many telemetry setups on various jets - all of them have been reverse engineered, BUT I completely understand the manufacturer of your turbines reluctance, to do the same....

There are many threads on this forum (mainly in the jet forum) discussing this issue - take the time to read them and you will realise that it is no good trying to convince a turbine manufacturer to do what you are asking for - when clearly, they are not prepared to risk their reputation.

GET ONTO FUTABA, ON THE FUTABA SUPPORT FORUM - they are the problem!!
