Jet Central Mammoth SE 250
 

I have a new Jet Central Mammoth SE 250 that cannot develop full rated power. It is supposed to have a maximum RPM of 108K. My maximum RPM is 104K.
I have had to lower the max rpm using the ECU terminal to 104K to prevent an error during startup. If I use the ECU's Terminal to set the max RPM to the factory rated 108K, I get a Low RPM error during startup.

It appears that the Jet Central SE 250 Powerpack fuel pump cannot deliver enough fuel to the turbine. I am using all large 3/16" ID fuel fittings.

I talked to Jose Melendez about this. We changed some of the ECU settings. Still cannot get the rated max 108K rpm.

The SE Powerpack that I received with my Mammoth 250 is exactly the same size as the SE Powerpack for my Cheetah 160. I was told by our local turbine expert that the Mammoth SE Powerpack is supposed to be larger in size that the one used for the Cheetah 160.

Has anyone else had similar issues with the 250?

The Mammoth was returned to the factory on July 13 for inspection and repairs. I received the Mammoth back on July 25. Jet Central paid for the DHL Express shipping both ways to Mexico.

I ran the Mammoth today on my test stand. The startup was normal with no issues. Ran it up to full throttle and it reached the maximum rated power at 108k RPM.
