Ive emailed Jetcat a couple times about things but never get an answer, so Ill try here..

I have an older gas start P70, I read that they can be upgraded to spool faster? Is this true?

Somewhere back around ECU version 6.0D, I think, there was a change made which improved acceleration from the mid-range up. Bob Wilcox described it as a "surge" back then. Accels from idle are still slow until you hit that mid-range point.

That was mid-2007. Unless somebody knows something else....... What version do you have?
