Default P90-RXI fails to start. {Fixed}

P-90 rxi will run thru the sequence than shut off with LOW RPM fail code.
It runs up to 38000 rpm and just flames out.

What I have tried:

1. new O ring
2. new starter motor
3. different wire harness
4 reset the ecu
5 relearn the radio
6. I cleaned the filter.
7. ran the pump unhooked to the turbine
8. prolly other things

Any new Ideas would be appreciated.

Something is restricting fuel flow to the engine. Usually this is an indication the pump is bad but it can be something else. You've checked most of the usual suspects, so unless you can find a problem with the fuel supply to the pump, kinked line, etc. I'd suggest a different pump.

This is the turbine with the pump in the case. I need to check the solenoid Valve on the run side. Maybe it is running up to 38 g on the starter side of the fuel delivery. With this turbine it is hard to get it to run on a separate pump.

Don't own a p90 but i remember reading somewhere that the fuel line from UAT to turbine need to be short as possible.

Have you checked the ramp settings? I know on my older P60 I had a soft spot at 40k rpm when the engine would falter but most of the time push through. It would sometimes flame out with low rpm. I fixed it by upping the u-accel to increase the pump ramp voltage and bingo. Just an idea

That sounds like a good idea, I have not tried that, Can You give me instructions on how to do that Sent to email [email protected] and how much to change it to.

One thing I just noticed :
the minimum rpm was set to 36000
the idol was set to 35000.
would that let it shut off.
it maxed rpm 39100
max pump volts were .65

I give, it is on the way back to Jetcat USA.

Jetcat received the turbine Yesterday Thursday, Today John called and said they have it purring like a kitten. He said the ecu was shutting the turbine down, they tried flashing the ECU, to no avail. It ran like a charm on a different ECU. They replaced the bearings and it is already on its way home. My god that's unbelievable service. Great Service.

The trouble I had with my P-90rxi was over-current errors and chugging with flames during the KER.FULL portion of the Start. I sent it back and they replaced the ECU. I have since bench tested it and it appears the chugging, flames and over-current errors are fixed. I started it 10 times on the bench w/o a problem. If there is a problem, send it in. John will figure it out!
