P70 or P80????
Hello Mr. Matt and others!
I am intended to buy a Composite-ARF Flash.
I am still struggling if I want to buy the P70 or P80.
I want to make it light for slowflights.
I like the 21 pounds thrust of the P80 versus the 17.5 pounds thrust of the P70.
But I understand that the newest P80 is 3.3. lbs and the P70 is 2.6lbs. Is this true?
I understand the acceleration time of the P70 is much quicker then the P80. Is this true?
I am not looking for the ultimate power, but I have to go from a grassfield and I want a fast throttle respons.
What will be the "ultimate" powerhouse????
Many thanks,
Didier

RE: P70 or P80????
Hello Mr Matt.
Sorry for the late response.
Can you tell me more about the latest P-120?
How is the throttle response of the P120 compared with the P80 and P70?
How is the fuel efficiency of the P120 compared with the P80 with the same thrust figures?
Thanks!!!

Just flew my Flash with a P80 and you definitely do not want to use the P70 ! It flies good with the P80 but if money doesn't matter than go to the P120! You will have to add the extra fuel tank though or you will have a quick flight! The extra fuel is about 3 lbs added but you will be adding 8 lbs of thrust!!

At the same thrust the P120 is actually more efficient than a P80. By my calculation, fuel consumption per lb of thrust, the P120 is the most efficient turbine in the jetcat range. Just my opinion, Greg Murphy
