enya 45 CX...JettStream Muffler available?
Hello Bob, I'm in the process of putting a GP 40 Super Sportster / Enya 45CX together. I have no muffler for the engine, so before purchasing a new stock unit, thought I'd try the Jett unit. Is there a muffler/adapter package that will fit this engine? The engine has a dual bolt pattern for the exhaust;... 30mm Bolt On, & 41MM Bolt Through. ............. On the bench, with open exhaust, the engine turns a MAS (pre GF3) 10x6 at 15,600 RPMs . With the skinny 9x7.75, the # is 17,000. ..................... George K.

hi...
my apologies for the delay...
Yes, Dub can provide a muffler to fit the engine. If you can double check and verify the bolt hole spacing that would be useful information. But we have a pretty good database of adapter and bolt spacing info on hand.
Boost typically is about 600-1000 rpm (ground rpm) above what you would see with a stock muffler on a typical 10x6 size prop.

Hi .... thanks for writing.
The Enya 45 is indeed a very good engine. Works great with the Jett-stream or Turbo-Jett mufflers and makes awesome power.
If you are just going to be sport flying a pylon racing aircraft, the engine would of course be a good choice, with either the stock muffler or a Jett-stream.
For actual racing, you will have to review the racing rules for the class you intend to fly.
For most of the Club 40 and Q-500 events, engines are limited to .40 size, and are often "spec" engines, thus everyone uses the same, unmodified and unaltered engine, with the provided muffler.
I hope this is helpful

If you wish the Jett-Stream muffler for the Enya 45, order the TT-40 muffler using the web order form, and request the adapter for a 45CX engine.
If i recall, the Enya 45CX was the "bolt-on" configuration - not "bolt through" like a current OS46 type. So there is a seperate adapter plate required.
