Default Sport Jett 46 prop

Broke in my Sport Jett 46. Now I need advice
on prop for Hi speed runs in Whiplash Delta.
Plane is approx. 3 3/4lbs, I am using the stock muffler (red.
Maybe APC pylon ? 8.8 in with 8.75-9.25 pitch? Wildcat 15% nitro

Hi Mike.....

there are a variety of combinations you can try.

I would say to start with a standard APC 9x7, and perhaps then try an 8.8x8.5 pylon prop or the 8.75x9W. Try and keep the SJ-46 engine in the 17K rpm (peak, on the ground) range... or slightly above. You can keep adding pitch as long as you stay in that rpm range. Another prop that works pretty well is the 8.5x7.25 pylon prop. The engine will really turn that sucker, and it will unload big time in the air.
