RE: racing engines
Thanks for writing......
You can use any type of fuel you wish. Most fuel available today is very good quality.
We prefer to run a synthetic/castor blend fuel.
If you get a lean run or if the engine runs poorly after blowing a plug, it will get hot. The small amount of castor oil in the fuel helps to protect the piston/liner when it gets into an extreme situation.
Gives you that little bit of protection and some peace of mind.
The fuel I run in all of my sport and racing engines is a commonly available premium sport fuel.
15% nitro, 17% total oil (15% synth 2% castor), balance methanol.
