Century VII Radio System
A friend gave me an old Century VII transmitter and two 7 channel receivers.
The transmitter module has NET-J72M on it. 72.710 MHz
One receiver has a sticker with a FCC ID of BRW8ZCNER327XABC. Another sticker says HI BAND 72.530~72.990 MHz. Top of receiver says 7 channel RX ABC & W system. FMRX 72.710 MHz.
The other receiver has FCC ID of BRW8ZCRM7F. FMRX 72.630 MHz.
So....what does all this mean, and is it legal to use?
If required to send it in, please provide instructions to do so.
Thanks.

With the module being a J72M model it may or may not be narrow band. With the receiver stating ABC&W it is likely that it is narrow band. If it has a grey crystal it is. If the ABC&W is written on a silver oval decal on the receiver it is not narrow band, but if the ABC&W is written on the receiver's label itself it is narrow band. The FCC numbers don't provide much information unfortunately. If you would like to send in for a check up, you can find a service and repair checklist on this page with instructions for sending equipment in. http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/support/
