DX8 or 11X for 30% IMAC
I currently own a DX8 which I used for heli flying and small planes. I have decided to build a 30% Extra for IMAC. I'm curious if the DX8 will restrict me with this size plane. It appears to have all the channels and mixing needed.
Also what would I get with the 11X vs the DX8 for this type of setup.
Thanks

I have a 9303. In my H9 P47-150, I have Dual Flaps, Dual Ailerons, Dual Elevators, Dual Retract servos, Rudder, Throttle, and Fiber Optic Kill. I need to use two Matchboxes in that setup.

Here they are side by side... Both great radios and best feel is always a personal opinion but for me the DX8 feels nicer to fly with. Just my opinion though.

Most 30% planes and or IMAC planes do not use flaps therefore you have enough channels with a DX8. I have seen set IMAC planes flown with DX7's, no Matchboxes necessary. Only time you will need a match box is if you get into 35%ers with two servos on each wing. Your 30%er would probably have one servo per wing. The 11X is more expensive and of course would be good for you many years to come if you will be getting into larger planes.
