Default AR7010 / AR8000

My son has a JR 9303 2.4 with the DSMX upgrade. He is looking between the AR7010 and AR800, and I am not sure if the 9303 is a high speed TX to make use of the AR8000 or if the AR 7010 would work just as well.

Thanks,

Charles

The only Spektrum/JR 2.4GHz tx's capable of 11ms latency are the old DX7SE, the new DX8 and I believe the new DX7S but not sure on that one. For what it's worth not many pilots will notice the difference, mostly it's the hotshot heli guys who notice and the rx's will only run at that speed if all other conditions are met like using all digital servos as well.

The DX7s, DX8, DX10t, and DX18 all support 11ms mode.

The DX7SE supported 11ms as well.

I only listed the tx's one might currently obtain either used as in the case of the DX7SE or new with the DX8 or DX7s...

I know, but these Internet posts last a while and we like to make sure that the information is a little more up-to-date.

BTW, DX10t's have been available since January.

Andy - The AR7010 page on the Spektrum site does not mention that the AR7010 Rx is High Speed and capable of 11ms.

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...odId=SPMAR7010

The AR8000 page specifically mentions High Speed 11ms compatibility for the AR8000

That's right, Rich - you need to use high-speed receivers, servos, and transmitter to have high speed.

The fast 7-channel is the AR7600/AR7610 - it was made to go with the DX7SE.
