Question guys - I have a AR8000 that I hooked up yesterday but I couldn't get it working. I bound it and the little lady said it was bound but I couldn't get any of the servo's to move. I have the Remote Satellite connected.
Are there different types of Satellites? I just grabbed one out of my box with all my other Rx's. I will make sure the Remote is DSMX
I installed the new Rx 9020 and it all worked fine.

Trying to copy that serial number on to the registering screen is crazy tough. I did the copy to SD card thing finally. I could never copy it just right. It's an old man brain thing I guess. Zeroes's and o's. Big L's and little l's and maybe others.

You can either have the web screen import the file, or you can open the file and copy/paste the serial into the browser.

I had the wrong Satellite hooked to the AR8000................ Found the correct Rx for the Satellite but can't find the Satellite for the AR8000. Have to dig some more. Put the 9020 in the Corsair. Works like a champ.
thanks

Does the AR8000 you have say DSMX on the label or DSM2? It is possible you have an AR8000 from pre-DSMX announcement and it and the remote have a DSM2 case/label. Always check the backside of your DSM2 remotes to see if there is an X along with the numbers on the label. If there is an X it is actually a DSMX remote in DSM2 clothing. If you get them all in a bin and get them mixed up like I do its easy to lose track. Look for the X on any DSM2 remote to confirm it may actually be DSMX.
All AR8000s are DSMX regardless of what the label says.

My AR8000 is DSMX. The Satellite I "tried" to use was DSM2. Once i put in a DSMX satellite the AR8000 worked fine. I put the DSM2 with the Rx it belongs to. I just have to find my old DSMX satellite now.
Thanks to all..............
Merry Christmas!!

question: I bought a plane recently. The owner has a dx18 as I do also. I imported the model to my radio but it would not bind. Tried many times but would not work. Then went to a blank model< manually put in all the data just like his. Still would not bind. I ended up binding to a blank model first, then putting in all the data. worked fine. I need to rebind but afraid I will lose and have to start over. Ideas??
rx is 12020

There's no reason it shouldn't bind with an imported model. Did you check the Frame Rate screen? Was it set for DSMX and 11ms?
Were you too close? What were the symptoms that lead to it not binding?
Did you bind with the button, or from the menu? With complicated models it's often better to bind from the menu so that things like the sequencers are in the correct positions.

I always bind from the menu. I tried every combination I could think of short of standing on my head and rubbing belly.
I did get a couple times where the tx seemed to bind but the plane did not do anything. would like to re-bind now to keep things from jumping around when I turn on.

Do you have another receiver you could try binding to for now?
Can you attach the SPM file here? You'll probably need to rename it to .TXT or zip it up so RCU lets you attach it.
