JR 9303 2.4 DEAD
Hi all,
i have a 2009 JR 9303 2.4, I fly E pattern, and also a foamie.
about one month ago i went to fly my foamie and when i finished, i put my transmitter into my JR case but accidentally its turn on.
well at the other day the battery was completely dead, i recharged and fly my foamie, with no problems.
this week i turn on the tx for check it and the battery was too low and the TX turn it off because the low voltage, so i connect to the battery charger, and the next day after 8 hours of charging turn it on and was ok, but when i tried to access the main menu to change the model, appears corrupt information in accssii code, and some of my models, i turned off the TX ,and after that it wont start any more.
i check the battery voltage and was ok, i tried with a partner´s battery and the TX is not working.
i also check the fuse and was ok.
any help?
do you know how much will cost the repair service?
thanks,
Sergio

RE: JR 9303 2.4 DEAD
It should be done as a warranty repair as this is a known issue. A full reset needed to be done as soon as you saw the scrambled characters in the model memory. Basically the CPU boot program has become corrupted due to attempting to boot up with a low battery. This low voltage causes the system to crash before its managed to load the program and corrupts it.

No one probably knows how much it will cost until they see exactly what is wrong with it. Given your location, I would buy a new one. Send in the old one for a repair estimate. Once you get the estimate, then decide if you want to get it fixed. That way, you always have a backup transmitter, if you decide to get it fixed. Or, if you are not happy with it, it might be time to look around. A lot has changed in 3 years.
