Default DX8; dual flap servos-can they work together?

I have two aileron servos and two flap servos. One of the flaps go up, the other goes down so I have to change one of them....is there a way to do that with the transmitter, or do I need to use a MatchBox?

The Transmitter set up has the two aileron and two flap servos displayed. I can adjust the left flap servo, but for some reason, the right servo will not respond to the transmitter's requests.

Suggestions?

Jerry

PS Thanks in advance - this is going into a Piper Warrior

Are you using 1 servo port for them or 2 (ie, is your wing type 2 Ail/1 Flap or 2 Ail/2 Flap)?

If you use two receiver ports, then you just go to the Servo menu, select Reverse, select the flap that's backwards and reverse it.

I'm using a "Y" connector and connecting to the aux 1 port on the rx. I am also using the two aileron, two flap setting on the tx.

Take the Y out, plug the other flap into the specified channel on the receiver, and reverse the channel. If you are using a Y, then you don't tell the transmitter you have 2 flaps.

Stay away from Y harness....they can cause trouble.

Yep, just working with the flaps I've come across a 'new' "Y" connector that made one servo go crazy.....I'll go with two channels to resolve this issue.
