Default Spectrum AR8000

I am looking to run two power lines to my AR8000, just for redundancy. However, I need seven channels for servos and kill switch. Can I plug a power lead into the bind port after the receiver is bound? On some receivers this is possible, but I hate to experiment on a new airplane.

Thanks

Tony

Yup, all the servo slots are on a common electrical buss, you could even use a Y-harness on another used port if you want as that's pretty common for getting power into a receiver.

I do both, I power via Y into the Bind port, keeps the second plug ready for binding if needed. Works perfectly.

On a electric setup, I also plug a Y into the bind port for binding with a regular Rx pack (one end bind plug, other end batt ) so I don't have to plug the lipo (don't have to worry about the prop chopping my fingers... )

Hope this makes sense,
Cheers, V.

I like the idea of plugging a Y into the bind port. Think I will go with that.

Thanks all!
