Default AR6200 fail safe question

I recently bought a new (presumably) Spektrum AR6200 receiver. The issue is that with a loss of signal, Tx off, throttle goes to pre set position but all of the control surfaces go "limp", no power, no hold. I have tried binding with the plug left in and removed. Is this normal? Or do I have a busted Spektrum or a garbage clone?

TIA

Hmmm.... Don't have a model with an AR6200 setup right now so I cannot confirm this information, but IIRC the rx should go to the preset throttle position as you mentioned and all other channels should remain at last commanded position. You may have a bad rx and I believe that the 6200 series rx's were one of the widely pirated ones and lots of fakes are out there.

We haven't made or sold AR6200's for years. There are several counterfeiters out there selling them as "new" but they're fakes.

A genuine AR6200 will send the throttle to a fixed position and lock all the other servos at their last commanded position.

Looks like somebody ripped you off.
