JR Matchboxes and A123 Batteries

Will JR Matchboxes operate with A123 Batteries that put out Voltage higher than 6 Volts?

Yes if you are talking about two cell packs. The nominal voltage on a two cell A123 pack is no more than that of a five cell NiMH pack.
