SPMA9589 No Altimeter data
A strange thing going on here. My telemetry has been working fine since a few days ago on my Spektrum DX9.
I have a spektrum vario/altimeter SPMA9589 connected to the TM1000. The vario monitor screen displays correctly, both vario and altimeter data. (telemetry on auto config)
However only the vario sound is working while it tells (voice) that the there is no altimeter data.
The DX9 has the latest firmware (1.09) and also latest sound updates. Tried also another DX9 which eliminates the radio. Checked data cable which is ok.
Any suggestions?

If you are using Metric units for your telemetry I am afraid it is a confirmed bug. See my posting in the Spektrum's Recent Airware Updates in RC Radios, Transmitters, Receivers, Servos, gyros post #18. In brief however, if you select US units for the Telemetry rather than Metric all works fine (with a small caveat that if the sensor believes it is at a negative altitude it reports it as 'number too big') . No doubt the bug will be fixed in a later firmware release.
