Default DX 18 System Set Up - Questions

I realize this may be old news, but here goes. Setting up dual elevators on the new Spektrum 8 chl receiver, and the DX 18. After bind, I go to System Set Up, a screen comes up with the words,
"RF Will Be Disabled" "Confirm Menu Access" What is this ? Also, how do I go to "Wing Type".

I had questions 7 years ago with the new X9303, now this.

Thanks,

Vince

In System Mode, the RF is disabled. In Function mode, RF is active. It's always been this way. This is just a warning to you, that your RF is going to go away while you make changes.

This is a warning in case you have your model enabled. If you had the throttle failsafe set wrong, for instance, you could have a problem on your hands.

Thanks Andy. What am I supposed to tell the tx ? yes or no ? Does this all go back to default when I bind after all set up ? You and HH on Fieldstone are great, and have given me the best the past 8 years.
Now I have to figure out dual elevators on the DX18.. I have too much delay binding the new Spektrum 7610 receiver to the X9303 2.4's The connection is not constant. It will bind in 2 seconds or 30 seconds.
How about making the old 7000 2.4 receiver again ? I am using them in spa planes, bullet proof, just like the old red case 921's. I am going to dedicate the DX18 to the Pilot Decathlon and DA 60, still sitting on the shelf.

Yes.

That will take you to the System mode.

All this is doing is turning off the RF deck, the same as when you hold the roller and power up. It doesn't change anything.

Thanks Andy ! Depressing the roller button while turning on the tx. Maybe I did not read the manual right, except did not know that until you posted.

I should be good to go.
