Graupner/JR interchange
Danny, I picked up an inexpensive Graupner MC-14. Is is a simple matter of buying a 72Mhz crystal and receiver from you to make it operate in the US?

Simply changing the crystal will not work. You will need either a new RF deck in the system, or if the system uses a removable module, a new module installed on 72 Mhz. I'm not sure what system the MC-14 uses, so I do not know if we have a module that would work in the system, or if it does not use a module, if we would have an RF deck that would work.

hi Krizovdp
no mc-14 have fixed tx module on inside and according to graupner it make only 35-40-41 Mhz.It's possible change frequency (35-40-41) only in a Graupner service centre because they don't sell it.
regards Mirco

RE: Graupner/JR interchange
Danny,
I contacted you earlier about a freq change for a MC-14 Graupner radio. It arrived awhile ago and the back opens easily. Inside is a snap out RF board with a removable crystal in it. The RF board has one wire going to the antenna and a four(I think ) ribbon cable plugged in. Would you mind looking at the radio to see if you could hook up a JR RF board? It seems to have LOTS of room in the case if the physical form is not right.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
