8103 FM Transmitter Module
Hi Danny,
You may have answered this before, but I couldn't find it.
Is the FM Transmitter module for the XP8103 Air Transmitter matched to its crystal or can the crystal be chaged to another? My example would be from channel 47 to 35?
I am upgrading from an XF421ex to the XP8103 that I bought used and I would like to keep my existing channel 35.
Thanks in advance,
Al

RE: 8103 FM Transmitter Module
Don't forget that you are in the USA and in accordance with the FCC regulations YOU are not allowed to change crystals in any RF module.
What you would need to do is send the module and the crystal that you want to use down to Horizon where they will fit and retune the RF to that crystal frequency.
How strange that here in the UK, we can pop crystals in and out of the modules all by ourselves, mind you.... thats a good job otherwise I would be inundated with module retunes !!!!

Your other option in addition to what Mac_Man_UK stated is to purchase another module on the frequency desired, part number JRPTXM** where you replace the ** with the channel number you want it on.

RE: 8103 FM Transmitter Module
Thanks again Danny,
Since the radio is used, I'll just send it in to you folks and have the techies check it out and set it up on channel 35 for me.
