8411 gear train "feel"
Hi Danny-
Just got 8 8411's back from Horizon Service after a post-crash checkup (quick turnaround, BTW - thanks!)
I was putting them back in the plane last night and noticed that about half of them feel rough or "grindy" (if that's a word) when I move the servo arm back and forth by hand (servos powered off, obviously). The gears look fine visually, and the servos function fine on the bench.
Is this rough feel normal? I realize by manually moving the arm that I'm driving the gear train from the wrong end, thought maybe that could account for it.
thanks-
Bob

They shouldn't really have too rough of a feel, but if they are operating normally and do not make excessive noise (a grinding sound) while operating they are very likely fine to use. It may be that the servos are a tighter fit after being serviced accounting for the rough feel while rotating by hand.
