PCM 9x Device Select
Hi Danny,
I've just got a PCM 9x. I primarily want to use for F3B. In the menu of the 9x, 'Device Select' appears as an option under 'Aero' and 'Heli', However it doesn't appear under the 'Glider' selection, where its needed more than anything. My reason for it was to disable the default Flight mode switch and use the Flap/Aux 2 three pos switch for the purpose. Is this a software problem, or just another thing to go on the wish list for the next model!....Is there any way of allowing switch assignability in glider mode. As it is, the three pos AUX 2 switch is redundant in glider mode.
Any help would be appreciated

RE: PCM 9x Device Select
It has been a while since I have looked at a 9X, we don't sell them in the US at this time, but I do not remember that function being available in glider mode. I believe that would be something to have on the "wish list" as you mention. From my memory of the system, that is what I found to be the case, there really isn't much flexability of the switch layout and functions in glider mode.

RE: PCM 9x Device Select
I have a PCM 9X Aero and I face a similar problem with reverse characteristics. In the AERO mode the number of switches availabe to allocate in programmable mixing are only 4 (ALI DR, RUD, DR , EL DR and MIX), where in the GLIDER mode i can see them all (FPU FPO MIX TIM BT0 BT1). I don't know whether this is a problem with the first PCM 9Xs and how it can be resolved??
Danny and Mac Man please give us some advice on this issue.

Nick
