Default POWER ISOLATION

Do I need a power buss with a 955 receiver and 9 digital [8611] servos or can I run 2 6v [regulated] packs through the rx with no problem?

Default RE: POWER ISOLATION

With 9 servos you are getting close to the upper end of what the receiver can handle. If all the servos stall at the same time (unlikely) you could pull too much amperage and have a receiver current draw lock up which would act much like a radio hit. It is possible that you would be fine, (I have used 9 servos through 1 RX in the past) but it is also possible to have problems. It may be best to isolate at least a couple servos from the receiver if possible. It is not a good idea to run 2 battery packs into a single receiver without a regulator or some other type of diode that will prevent one pack from draining the other. If you don't install one, the packs will be constantly fighting each other and drain faster. So it would be a good idea to add a regulator to both packs. Running 2 packs with a regulator though, is a very good idea for your set up.
