Default JR 783

Did the JR387 replace the JR783? If so, are the manuals comparable? Are there replacement parts available for the 783. The back cover on mine has a crack in it.
Thanks

The 378 fits in the same place in the line up, though there were a couple years between the 783 being discontinued and the 378's release. They are comparable systems in terms of functionallity, but they are completely different in terms of programming methods and parts used. Replacement parts are available for the 783, and I see that we have a few case halves for it. Just send it in, and we can repair it for you.

Is it possible to get the cover and repair it myself? I am retired Navy with 20+ yrs eletronics (nuclear) background. I also sent a request for a manual. Is there one downloadable?

We don't sell service center parts, the system does need to come in for this repair. We don't have the manual for the 783 downloadable. We can mail you a copy though.

OK I'll send it in next week. Do I need any forms, and where do I send it?

Danny, I am ready to send my 783 to you for a back cover and to have you check it out. Where do I send it and what info do you need?

The address to send to is below. You need to include a letter with your name, address, daytime phone number, and a description of what needs to be done. Or print out and fill out the service repair checklist on this site. http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/support/
