Are there any plans to have a rotary control function on the 9X? For some controls, the rotary knob offers an excellent control, such as mixture control, gyro gain settings, preset brakes, etc. People that fly with their thumb and forefinger, in a "pinch" style, find the side mounted sliders difficult to use. They do not offer a "reference" point like the marked knobs.
Also, is the 9X capable of transmitting 10 channels?

I don't have any information on the new 9 available at this time. As far as I know, it is a 9 channel system only.
