Default Choosing new JR radio

I have ben looking at the 8103, 6102, 378. I will be using it to try to fly 3D. I currently have a 631. I want a radio that has expo and a independently operated dual rates for rudder , elev and ail. I was told that 6102 was not capable of this. I am on a budget so the less I spend the better but I will do what I have to do to get what I want. can these radio's opperate in PCM and FM in the same unit. THANKS

Default RE: Choosing new JR radio

The 6102 has seperate elevator and aileron dual rates, and when used on one switch dual rates for aileron, elevator, and rudder. When using individual switches for the dual rates, there isn't a rudder dual rate switch assigned. You can have expo on the rudder when using individual switches, but not dual rates. The 378 and the 8103 both have that ability.

As for PCM and FM, all 3 systems are capable of FM and PCM, but the 6102 system doesn't have the older ZPCM modulation type. It has SPCM and FM, while the 378 and 8103 have SPCM, ZPCM, and PPM.
