Default NES-4421 ?

I picked up an NES 4421 servo as part of a package deal (off of ebay). The servo works well, but I was wondering what the specs are on it?

It seems to be very percise, but slower than other servos. I'm guessing the lower speed is the result of gearing giving it a high output torque?

I checked on the horizon website, no info on this servo there.

Thanks.

There isn't any info about that servo on our site as it is an older servo that is no longer available. Here are the specs that I have listed:

Dimmensions: 1.75" x .742" x 2.14"
Weight: 1.4 ounces
Torque: 83.5 oz-in
Speed: .27 sec/60ΒΊ
Dual Ball Bearing
Coreless motor with a nylon gear train
Applications: 1/4 scale aircraft

Thanks, that's better torque than I was hoping for, cool. Thanks for the info.

Btw, with the popularity of ebay, and the amount of gear that gets passed around at swapshops and just between guys at the field, has anyone given any thought to maybe having a archive of the specs of no longer available servos? Just a big table would be great. Just an idea.

Thanks

We have a chart in excel that we can email to you, however it is not on the web site. Our web site generally only includes information on currently available products.

Well, I don't actually NEED the spreadsheet right now. And as long as there are forums or other ways to contact folks and get answers as quickly as you got mine, it doesn't really matter how the information is available. So, no need to send me the spreadsheet, thanks though.

Oh, I forgot to ask before, are gear sets available for it? I don't expect to strip it of course, but if they are available now but maybe not in the future, I might want to pick one up just in case.

The gear set is available, they are part number JRPSG4021. This gear set is used in several servos, so it should be available for quite some time.

Danny,

If I may be so bold, but I have placed a chart of servo's past and present on the MacGregor site.

http://www.macgregor.co.uk/faq/Servos/oldandnew.htm

Hope you don't mind me popping it up here....
