What mini digital throttle servo?
Danny,
Question for you that you've probably answered before but I haven't seen yet.
I'm one of those guys that prefers to use a digital throttle servo on my gas giants when the rest of the plane is driven with digitals. It seems that going with the digital always keeps the throttle more "in sync" with what the rest of the plane is doing. With analogs on the throttle when digitals are driving the surfaces it always "feels" like I'm chasing the rest of the plane with the engine, and never quite keeping the engine up with the plane.
For weight puposes I'd prefer to use a smaller and lighter digital for the throttles on my gas giants. I don't like mixing brands on my equipment and would prefer to keep them all JR. What would be a couple of good selections in the JR line of digitals that are smaller and lighter than standard sized servos, but that still have the abilty to stay in play over long periods of time in a high vibration enviornment? As a rule my throttle servos are placed relatively close to the engine and have little, if any, linkage resistance.
Thanks a lot,
Pat

RE: What mini digital throttle servo?
I do not recommend using anything smaller than a standard size servo for throttle on a large aircraft. Smaller servos use smaller components and smaller solder points etc that are not as vibration resistant. I'd recommend staying with standard size servos such as the 8231, 8411, 8417, 8611A, 8711, etc.
