Default non-synthesized rx for xs3

if i'm going to use non-synthesized rx in my xs3 like novak xxl can i use futaba or sanwa crystals??? coz someone told me that it worked but i'm not sure what brand of crystal they used but i'm sure it's not a jr..thanks

You need to use the same brand of crystal as the transmitter, so you need a JR crystal on your channel to use your receiver. The part number for the cystal would be JRPXFR** where you replace the ** with the channel number you want it on.

The cut of other brand crystals may be different and may not provide as good range.

Ok, so you are saying that a Futaba FM receiver will work with a XS3, right. Mine isn't communicating at all. I have tried the different crystal. My Futaba transmitter will not work with the receiver that comes with the XS3. Please help!

Correct, a Futaba RX will not work. They would only "work" together on 27 Mhz. On 75, they will not.
