Default xf631 crow programming

I am putting together a ultra stick 40 airplane with the optional quad flap setup. I have the xf631 transmitter and am curious on how to program the crow wing setup. I have read in horizon that i need to turn the servo around and mount it backwards in order to do this. Is this true or is there an easier way to do this.
