Swapping modules in JR TX's
Hi,
I am from Australia, and have seen some good deals for radios from the US.
My question is, are all the JR modules interchangeable in the 8103, 9303, and 10X?
In other words, can I swap the 72MHz module in any one of these with a 36MHz module so I can use it in Australia?
Thanks,
Joel

The modules themselves should be the same (except of course for some internal differences). The modules in the 8103, 9303, and 10X are the same. Keep in mind though that in purchasing systems from overseas that your local service centers may not be able to work on the system as there are different systems in different areas of the world, so it could limit your ability to getting the system serviced outside of sending it to the country of origin.

RE: Swapping modules in JR TX's
Thanks for the info Danny.
Sorry I should have asked this in my first post but didn't think about it:
What about receivers?
Could I just change the xtal, or is there more to it than that?
Thanks again,
Joel
Edit: I also found out today that I could get a XP-8103 serviced in Australia if required

You would need to purchase a receiver on the 36 Mhz band to convert. The receiver can not be retuned from any US band (50, 53, or 72) to 36 Mhz as the jump is too large.
