JR DS161 / DS168 servos
Hi there and greetings from downunder,
Would be most appreciative if someone could help me with a question regarding JR's DS161 and DS168 servos.
I believe the DS161 is not longer produced and has been replaced by the DS168, is this correct.
Is there any difference between the two ??
Thanks very much
Cheers
Ken

Ken,
We haven't had a 161 servo available in the US, so I am not certain on that. You might try contacting O'Reilly for further assistance, the number I have listed for them is 61-8-8351-0544.

RE: JR DS161 / DS168 servos
Thanks for the reply Danny,
I did contact O'Reilly, they no longer stock the "DS161" and don't import the DS168.
I would like to use the DS168's for elevator (one mounted inside each stab) and aileron (one per wing) control for a Savex L39/MW44, would these servos be suitable for this application. Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
Kind regards
Ken

The spec for the 161 is :-
3.7Kg/cm, 0.22 secs, 30mm x 10mm x 34mm , 24 gms
I havent been able to locate a 168 on the JRPROPO website, neither can I see it on their most recent catalogue. But from Horizon's site
the 168 is as follows ( roughly ) :-
3.35 Kg/cm, 0.14 sec, 30mm x 9mm x 34, 20 gms
