Default Rx Antenna Length

Noticed my rx antenna is missing about 6" Don't know how that happened - but is it O.K. to just solder another piece to it or should the entire antenna be replaced?

The length of the antenna should be 1 meter or about 39". If you do a clean solder job and heat shrink over it properly it can work to repair antennas, but if the solder point is allowed to flex much, it could break the solder point and cause a potential reduction in range. If it is only 6" you would likely be ok, but in most cases it is best to install a new antenna. Our service center generally does this at no charge.
