Default Amplified Y's?

Hi Danny-
Do the JR Amplifed Ys (JRPA133, I believe) actually have an amplifier, or do they just have a choke to reduce noise?

thanks
Bob

They have an amplifier for the signal and a filter.

Actually the use of these depends on the modulation you are using. These are only needed when using ZPCM. For PPM and SPCM they are not needed, and can cause servos to oscillate in some conditions. For PPM and SPCM I recommend using either JRPA135 or EXRA315.

ZPCM is an older generation of PCM from JR, and it is 512 resolution. SPCM is the newest generation of PCM from JR, and it is 1024 resolution. Both PPM and SPCM both have a stronger signal strength than ZPCM, eliminating the need for the amplifier in a Y harness.
