Default ZPMC?

Hi Danny,

I recently bought a 6102 to back up my aging PCM10. As you can guess, I have several ZPCM receivers and am dismayed to find out this radio doesn't support ZPCM!!!

Is this going to be the case when I eventually replace my PCM10 with a newer model? What gives, do I really have to face the cost of replacing 8 perfectly good receivers?[X(]

True that the 6102 does not support ZPCM. It is difficult to say if future systems will support ZPCM or not.

Thanks for the prompt turnaround anyway.

Please convey my dismay to the powers that be.[]

I find it extremely difficult to believe that backward compatibility would be that difficult or costly. We're talking software only, and it's already written, tested and in production for many years.[>:]

Default RE: ZPMC?

9 years ago, i asked to tech support in Horizon Hobby, about programming to change the mode in my JR 388 (Mode 1, 2 3 or 4). They, sent me a secuence list to program my radio and "Boila", a new item in the main program apear to select the flight mode now.

JR must think in old radios (receivers) in good conditions, we cant sent to trash. I would ask to Mr. DANNY SNYDER, about a sequence programming to include Z PCM modulation in the new radios (like in 9303).

There is no such thing on the 9303. You must send the system in for conversion.

Default RE: ZPMC?

Can ZPCM capability be added to the 6102?
If so, will SPCM and PPM still function?
Cost?

Thanks!

No, ZPCM can not be added to the 6102.

Perhaps you might sell me a couple of the Z receivers!
