Default Upgrade from JR X347?

Hey, i have my dad's old Jr X347 and the transmitter doesn't work, Im no crazy pilot or anyhing, nor do I need the computer functions really so i think i might buy a cheaper transmitter as long as it will work with my current system. My dad think's that it is a better deal to just get the transmitter fixed. Is it worth fixing? I need a new backup battery and problem solving on why it wont turn on, or should I get a new transmitter?

It is difficult to guess at what may be wrong so it is impossible to know how much it might cost to repair. Lithium battery replacement is usually around $40 to $50, to repair the system, we would not know the cost without seeing the system. It could be as simple as a blown fuse, or it could be internal damage to the system. You can send it in and request an estimate if you would like.
