Default Fast charging 9303

I searched to see if this had been asked/answered before but I could not find it. I have a Sirius charger and a JR TX adapter[reverses polarity]. Can I use this to safely charge the tx battery on my JR 9303 or is there a device in the tx to prevent this ?
thanks

Yes, you can use it as long as the polarity is correct and the charge rate it not set too high. I generally do not recommend charge rates over 1 amp on the transmitter.

I charge mine at about .8amp and have not had any problems. Just don't try to pump it up to quick!! I don't know what happens but I'm sure it's not good.

Can you cycle the battery while it is in the transmitter also?

If I ever want to fast charge my battery, I always remove it from the transmitter first. Why take the chance that anything might go wrong and destroy a transmitter.
