I located your guide for the 10X radio system and was wondering if one would plug in the DSC cord to prevent using the actual RF module and therefore unneccessary transmission or how would you advise one to set the 10X when going through your setup guide.

You can use the DSC or install the antenna, and if you are going to have it on for some time, extend the antenna a couple sections.
