9303 Radio issue
Danny,
I have a Chip Hyde DV that has been flown with all JR equipment and a 955 rx. I have recently purchased a "used" 9303 radio. In looking for crystals, I accidentally put in Rx crystals in both the Tx and Rx. I realized the mistake and put in the correct Tx crystal.
For some reason, I can not get the plane to react to any input without extending the antenna. In other words, if I were to do a range check, I would have no movement on the servos unless I extend the antenna. This is my first dealing with PCM, but I don't believe that should be happening.
Am I programming something incorrectly? Would the Rx crystal in the Tx have screwed something up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jon

RE: 9303 Radio issue
What color cases do the crystals in the TX and RX have. It should be black for the TX, and grey for the RX. Also check all connections and make sure the crystals are fully seated. Realize also that changing or putting in a crystal for a channel other than what it was supplied with in the TX that has not been checked for RF output and tuning is against FCC regulations and could also cause problems in use. There could also be a problem with the system. It may be best to send the TX and RX in for a check up if you can not locate the problem.
