Default Mechanical or Subtrim first??

Hello Dan,

According the to manual instructions on Sub Trim;

"Sub Trims are intended for relatively minor adjustments
to servo linkages and not for major trim adjustments to
the helicopter.Using excessive sub trim percentages can
cause a loss in servo resolution where the servo reaches
its travel limit and stops moving before the control stick
is fully deflected."

What value is considered too high for sub trim?

Should I use the mechanical trims located around the sticks first then fine adjust with the subtrim?

Actually it is best to mechanically adjust the model before adjusting the sub trim or trim. There is no difference between sub trim and the trims in that respect, both offset the servo's centering. The sub trim should be kept as low as possible by adjusting the model mechanically as much as possible. There isn't a fixed number on the max sub trim, due to the many variables, such as mechanical set up, the amount of travel on the model as well as the travel adjust value. It just needs to be held to a minimum for best results.
