Default 9303 Flight Modes

Hi Danny..Ive been a 20 year Futaba user and have been thinking about going to the 9303..My main question is about the flight modes..Th 9C has triple rates which you can assgin mixes and dual rates etc to..what exactly is the difference between using that method versus the flight modes? What is the advantage?

Thanks

Flight modes allow things like the dual rates, program mixes, and other built in functions to all be assigned to one switch, so one switch can perform many functions simultaneously. It reduces the switch usage in most cases, which allows the pilot to focus more on flying than worrying about switch positions.

So then there really isnt a difference between modes and what I can do with the 9C then..I can assign different mixes, rates and expo settings to a single 3 position switch..sounds like there really isnt much difference then.

Sounds pretty similar in that respect, yes.

One more question for you...Does each flight mode get its own set of mixes? Meaning if I use all six mixes on flight mode 0 does flight modes 1 and 2 get a new set of unused mixes?

No, the number of mixes does not depend on the flight modes. There are 6 mixes total.
