General trainer question
Hi
Can you explain the basic electronic operation of a instructor/student trainer setup? Do both radios need to have all of the channels and mixes required of the aircraft or is one radio just used to pass joystick values into the other radio for mixing there?
IOW, will a simple Quatro suffice for joystick input into a more capable computer radio that will provide all the channel mixing? Who holds the Quatro (instructor or student)?
Thanks
Clark

RE: General trainer question
Yes, both systems need to have all the mixes and other functions necessary for the aircraft being flown. The only exception to this is if the 6102 or 10X Air systems are used, with their pilot link function. Then both systems do not need to be programmed for the model. The quattro will only work for simple 4 channel aircraft in a trainer set up, unless the other system is a 6102 or 10X air.
