I'm using 2721 servos and I just had my second gear failure.
It looks like it's a two piece gear and where the two pieces are pressed together it's spinning. Is this a common problem with this servo?
I'v been lucky and found both on the ground.
The first one was on one elevator half and tonight on one aileron.
They are on a H9 extra 330l (dual servo ailerons), are these a good choice for this plane.

I've only heard of this once before, and that was someone that posted a similar question here on RCU some time ago. We have not seen a servo here with the problem you are describing. I have had a problem with the 2721 gears as well, not sure I still have the gear set around though. It was the exact failure you mentioned. My problem arose shortly after I had a prop strike that splintered the wood prop on T.O. roll. I aborted but the ailerons really took some wicked vibration due to the prop. Shortly after I notice ailerons were less sensitive than normal and eventually the gearset on one servo was slipping on the ground.
I really can't blame JR for that one, otherwise they have held up fine on my 29% Edge.
