The DX6 Body and control PCB is a modified JR 662, this is shipped from JR to Horizon's Spektrum Division who fit the Spektrum RF PCB and then bundle with the receiver and servos etc.

Its a 50/50 relationship.

Will the XP662 buddy with the new Spectrum DX6 TX? Will the Quattro trainer TX work with the XP662 TX?

Yes, and yes. But keep in mind that both systems on each end of a buddy box set up must be set up and capable of flying the model individually.
