Default 8411 gears

My 8411s, when NIB have always had some slop, but I think that is just due to having metal gears.

My question is, how much slop is acceptable and how often should the gears be changed?

Anyone have a figure of number of hours, or flights or anything?

Thanks

The rule our service center uses is 3mm 12" from the center of the output gear. There is no rule for how often it should be done, since the conditions vary. I've had servos with hundreds of flights without changing the gears, but there are many variables.
