Default Price question Futaba/JR servos?

Just bought the Hangar 9 P51 PTD and I want to install the extra servo for the flaps. I also have a Nexstar plane. The Nexstar uses Futaba 3003 servos, I like to keep a spare so the extra 3003 was 10.00 at tower. Back to the P51--I also want to get a extra servo for the P51 flaps and a spare, BUT the 537 servos are over 30.00 each??..am I looking at the wrong servos, or place it just seems to be much higher in price then the 3003 servo @ 10.99 vs 30.00+ for the NES 537.

Thanks for any comments.

The 537 is $26.99. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=JRPS537

You might consider the ST47 or ST47BB from JR Sport for a lower priced alternative.

Thanks for the info. Basicially what is the difference between the 537 and the ST47 servos????--other than price??. I plan to use the servo in a Hangar9 P51 PTS trainer.

Thanks!! Stan

Additional:

JR 537-----40.7.oz----.25sec/60deg----------------$28.00

ST47BB---47oz----.18/60 4.8volts----.15/60 6 volts. ------$13.00

It seem the cheaper serve has more torque that the 537 but I am not sure what the other specs. mean??

Thanks stan

Both servos would work equally well in the PTS. The only other specs on the servos are the dimmensions and weight. The JR 537 and the JR Sport ST47BB are very similar servos.

.25sec/60deg means it takes .25 seconds for the servo to rotate 60 degrees (this servo is probably only supposed to be used with 4.8 volts so no voltage spec is given).

.18/60 4.8volts----.15/60 6 volts means that the servo will rotate 60 degrees in .18seconds with a 4.8 volt battery (4 cells) or in .15 seconds with a 6 volt battery (5 cells).

This is a common method of expressing the speed of a servo.

They have nothing to do with dimensions or weight.
