Servicing TX and Rx
Danny, I am sure you have answered this 1000 times, but I'll ask anyway. I am not having any problems at all with my equipment, but some of the fliers at my field think that it is a good idea to send in their transmitters and receiver every 2 years or so and have them checked out and tuned. Is this really necessary? Especially if the equipment has never been involved with a crash? I realize batteries have problems and probably cause most crashes, but receivers and transmitters? Thanks.

How often you send in your equipment depends on how much you fly. If you fly often, it is a good idea to send your equipment in every year or 2. Over time, through use, the equipment does lose its tunning. So it is advisable to send it in and have it checked out periodically so you have optimal performance, with less risk.
